Handmade Class Reunion Invitations
Class reunion homemade party invitations are fun to make and require little real craft skill; this means anyone can make these wonderful homemade party invitations and feel good about them. Some essential items you will need to gather before you start include: glitter (your choice in color), paint (your choice in color), cardstock, ribbon and markers.
For this class reunion handmade party invitation theme we will be working with the 70’s. For those that graduated in the seventies, one of the most recognizable items from that time period is a disco ball’ therefore, we will create a disco ball on the front of our card. For the disco theme, you can make it as colorful or as monotone as you want.
First, take the cardstock color you want to use, fold it in half and make sure the fold is at the top. This will allow the card to open up calendar style which is a very popular way for class reunion party invitations to open up. Next, draw a circle using the bottom of any cylinder object of the right size. Be sure to leave enough room on the front to include words such as “join us for a 2010 class reunion!” or something along those lines.
Fill in the disco ball with glue and glitter to make it shine, include all the important information in the inside right when you open it up and then on the top, if you want to add a little personal touch to the handmade invitation, write in popular sayings of the time, class mottos and more. Why not play Class Reunion Trivia at your reunion? Have your party-planning committee help gather fun facts (past and present) of your fellow classmates. Try to have at least one or two facts per attendee. Once you're ready to play, nominate someone to be the "MC"and ask the questions to the crowd. Whomever can answer correctly, gets a prize.
