Buy larger white envelope around 5x7 inches for this handmade invitation. Cut the white card stock into rectangles that will easily fit into the envelope. Using the ruler, draw a grid pattern, with a fine tipped marker on one side of the card stock. You want your homemade invitation to have a black and white checkered look, reminiscent of a checkered flag. Color in every other square in your grid using a wide tipped black marker.
