Handmade Election Day Invitations
Your Election Day homemade party invitations should be bursting with red, white and blue! Show your patriotism with handmade party invitations that not only show the spirit of our nation but also look great!
Start with a solid color card stock. If you will be making an American flag, it would be best to start with white. You will then cut out red strips the length of the cardstock after it is folded. Evenly spacing them, glue them on in a red and white alternating pattern as you see the stripes on the flag. You will then need to cut out a blue square and create white stars or dots on it. Glue the blue square in the top left corner of the flag.
If you want to get even more creative, you can make flags that go on top of dowels. On one side you can have the flag and on the other side you can have all the important information. Not only will your guests have a great invitation, they can also display them in their home as well.
