Elvis is one of the most recognized names in the entire world. It's easy to see why, because Elvis has sold over an estimated one billion records world wide. This estimate includes nearly forty percent of sales that are outside of the United States. Elvis had top hits in American Country, R&B, and Gospel and 114 of his songs have hit the Billboard's Hot 100 Pop Charts top forty list. "Don't Be Cruel" (1956), "Heart Break Hotel" (1956), "All shook Up" (1957) and "Jail House Rock" (1957) all hit top five along with twenty others from 1956 to 1962. Elvis Presley has stared in 33 films including Jail House Rock in 1957 and Viva Las Vegas in 1964. Elvis was also well known from his Vegas tour and critically acclaimed TV specials like Elvis: Aloha from Hawaii in 1973 and Elvis in Concert in 1977. Grace Land, Elvis's home and sanctuary for his last twenty years, has become one of the most visited homes in America after the White House. There are estimations that over 600,000 visitors tour Grace Land every year. Elvis died in this Memphis, Tennessee home on August 16, 1977 leaving behind a legacy and millions of adoring fans.
