Handmade Hanukkah Invitations
This Hanukkah, what better way to celebrate the Festival of Lights, than with homemade party invitations? Give your handmade party invitations to family and friends and even include the children in the craft itself.
At your local craft store, pick up light blue cardstock, white glitter, and silver ribbons. Using a foldable dreidel card template, trace and cut your card stock appropriately. To find a foldable dreidel card template, you can usually locate them online or in your local craft store. Cut slits on your cut-out where indicated by the template. Fold your dreidel accordingly and you should get a small pouch with a dreidel shape on top. Paint a thin layer of glue on the dreidel and cover with white glitter. Shake off the excess and you should have a shiny dreidel on top of a blue paper pouch. Tie small bows with your silver ribbon and place on top of the dreidel. Unfold your dreidel pouch and handwrite your party invitation inside with a silver paint pen, and fold again. Give your homemade party invitations out to family and friends to invite to your Hanukkah celebration. They will be awed by your handmade party invitations and think you spent days to create them.
On your next Hanukkah party have engraved dreidels handy and give them as party favors. Make sure to have a big feast and perhaps even serve latkes as appetizers and Sufganiyot as dessert. Have games for the children and take advantage of the printable games offered on this site.
