Handmade Memorial Day Invitations
This Memorial Day, why not be festive and create your own homemade party invitations? Memorial Day is all about Patriotic colors such as red, white and blue, so be sure to incorporate those not only into your invitations, but the party itself.
At your local craft store pick up red and white striped cardstock, blue cardstock, and red and white star stickers. Take the red and white striped cardstock and cut into individual four by six inch sheets. With your blue cardstock, use either a template or cut by hand, into the shape of a top hat. Paste your top hat in the middle of the striped card and allow time to dry. Use your red and white star stickers to decorate the hat. On the back of your invite, use a red or blue pen and write out your invitation. Fill your envelopes with red, blue, and white confetti pieces and hand out your homemade party invitations to friends and family. You’re guests will appreciate the craftiness and you will have saved yourself a lot of money and only spent an hour of time.
Memorial Day celebrations are celebrated on the last Monday of May, which means the weather is sunny and amazing for outdoor parties. Get piñatas, place flags on the tables and everywhere possible in the event and play games while taking many pictures. Give the guest imprinted caps for the sun in red, blue and white colors.
