Shrek Thank You NotesThank you notes for a Shrek themed party are a wonderful and fun way to teach your child a lesson in thoughtfulness and manners. Don’t approach the process as just another thing on a do-to list. Let your child see that this is an important part of planning for a party. Pick out the thank you notes when you get the invitations. This works whether you buy then at a party store or order them online. Either way let you child help to pick them out. Get some gel pens in fun colors and make sure you keep the list of children you invited to the party along with their addresses. Soon after the party at least within a week, sit down with your child and start to write out the thank you notes. It would be a good gesture to slip a few Shrek stickers in with the thank you note.
Address each Shrek party thank you note to the party guest, don’t just say thank you. Try writing something like, ‘Hi (guest’s name) It was so great to have you at the party. You could write, “Thank you Mrs./Mr…….for helping out at the party I know my Mom/Dad appreciated it too.” It is fine to thank the guest for a birthday gift but if the gift was opened and the child thanked at the party, you don’t really have to do it again.
