One of the first things you will have to decide if you are having a soccer party for your soccer fan's birthday or the end of the team league's season is where you are going to have the party. The logical choice for a soccer party would be a soccer field, and you can certainly do that, but in the case of inclement weather you would need to have a contingency plan.

Another option would be to schedule a party around a nearby professional, college, or high school soccer match. You could also have your soccer party at a local sports bar, where you may watch a game on the big screen or simply plan a party around a soccer game, and let everyone watch at your house.

If you are having a party at a local restaurant or sports bar, one thing to do is determine the number of guests and the cost of having an all inclusive party in which the bar or restaurant provides everything except gifts and special items including party favors. Sometimes at first notice these parties seem expensive, but in most cases when you figure in all the costs of an at home party, you will find they are quite reasonable. Especially reasonable are all inclusive soccer parties when you factor in things like stress, time, and ease and effort.

If you would like to do something to make it extra special, consider having team pennants, banners, T-shirts, or caps made up to give out as party favors. Another option for party favors is a large plastic team tumbler filled with candy, pencils, markers, erasers, games, etc. Just remember to plan ahead, make arrangements early, send invitations in advance and follow up with email or telephone reminders a couple of days before the party, and your soccer party should be a kick for everyone!
