Handmade Texas Holdem Invitations
Start the fun of your Texas Holdem party with handmade invitations. These invitations are easy to make and give your guests a homemade smile. You will need green felt, several decks of playing cards and medium weight, light colored card stock. You will also need a glue stick green tape and gold and / or silver gel pens This handmade invitation well need larger envelopes and is well worth getting some in about a 5x7 size.. They are available at most office, stationary and discount department stores. Cut the card stock into rectangles that will fit inside the envelopes. Write your party information on one piece of the card stock. Cut the felt to fit the card stock. This is easy if you use the card stock as a template for the felt. Your homemade invitation will be a Texas Holdem hand. Five cards face up on the outside and two face down on the inside back of the top flap. Glue five cards face up on a piece of green felt. They may need to overlap to fit. Next put glue down one side of the face side of two cards and lay them face down on another piece of green felt. This will glue them only partially to the felt. Your guests will want to see what facedown cards are on the handmade invitation. Glue both pieces of felt to blank a piece of card stock, one front and one on the back. Put two pieces of green tape on the felted card stock at each end of the top and tape it to the piece of card stock you party info is on, forming a hinge at the top. Put glue on the pieces of tape and sprinkle glitter on it. This gives your homemade card a little sparkle and hides the tape. Slip your handmade card in you envelope and have fun. As September arrives get really creative and have the Texas Holdem party of the year. You can have all your guests bring a favorite dessert and have tons of pastries to choose from, guests love this idea. You can also have balloons, feathers, and beads to make your party a total hit.
